An improved user experience for all technical documentation on the Customer Portal was launched in May of 2022. The redesign rolled out several new features, including an all-new reading mode, expanding tables and an overhaul of the navigation and layout. The best part about the redesign? It was driven by customer feedback.

Internal and external pressures in the last decade have pushed service providers to begin transforming their processes and adopt technology company, or "techco", characteristics. Agile organizational structures and processes that leverage software are some initiatives companies have embarked on. Other approaches include flexible workforce, and ecosystem partnerships to create new and exciting services for customers. A report based on this research, "Transitioning to techco in APAC: priorities for success" has been written by STL Partners in conjunction with Red Hat and Intel.

In the previous articles we discussed how to assess, from a high level, whether a modernization effort made sense in your enterprise. In a few moments, we will publicly share an update about Red Hat’s leadership team externally. Before we do, I wanted to share it with you. 

In an industry undergoing constant change, Red Hat’s annual community and social responsibility report is an opportunity for reflection. This is particularly true of our 2021 report, which offers a view into how throughout the pandemic (and beyond), we found new ways of collaborating and contributing to the communities around us. 

The Covid-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for many organizations in their digital transformations, leading companies to expedite technology initiatives, design dramatic changes to processes and reexamine culture and the role it plays in today’s new business world. Red Hatters should be able to access quality healthcare no matter where they live. We're working with our U.S. benefits provider to reimburse associates and their dependents covered by a Red Hat medical plan for travel to access several healthcare services that may not be available everywhere.

Effective July 1, 2022, our U.S. benefits provider will cover up to $10,000 maximum (lifetime) in travel expenses for an associate and a companion if they must travel greater than 60 miles from their home to access in-network care.
